The force of Nature lies beneath the Izalco Collection like a volcano that releases an astounding amount of energy from such a simple structure as a crater in the ground. The Izalco racing suit is an essential suit with elevated technological content that brings back a type of fit once work before with graphics that depict flows of flaming lava to provide unique characterisation. The back, with its built-in aerodynamic hump, is created in just one single piece of leather without stitching for greater protection in case of fall. Also the materials used keep a balance between energy and nature: cowhide acquires eruptive power thanks to Titanium anti-grip inserts incorporated in the shoulders in order to give the Izalco racing suit remarkable dynamism enlivened by asymmetrical graphics. The new protection that incorporates in just one meshed structure the co-extruded protection in composite materials that limits the presence of exposed stitching is positioned precisely on the shoulders. Less invasive thanks to “sandwich” construction, this new protection combines characteristics of safety and comfort. With the 2006 Motorbike Collection, Dainese revolutionises the concept of the two-piece suit. The models have wearability and protection features unique for this product class, bringing them ever closer to professional leather suits. MC 202 is the most striking example of this development: starting from the consideration that two-piece suits often suffer from wearability problems, as they begin with a compromise between the top and bottom pieces, the Dainese R&D department worked mainly to address the wearability of this garment. The solution was found in the use of a double elasticated band in the fastening zone between the two pieces. This brings considerable benefits: the garment is now more streamlined and closer fitting, conferring comfort to the rider in every position. Another elasticated band has been inserted in the shoulder blade, to ease movements when bent low to the bike while riding. In addition, the adjustable side fastener is lower than those previously produced, enabling the upper piece of the suit to be used as a real jacket. With respect to safety, the fixed composite knee protector is a notable innovation. Positioned inside the suit, it forms a leather/protector coupling to improve safety and comfort, due to the minimised inner and outer stitching. The articulated shoulder uses a type of composite protector able to spread shock over multiple protective pads, absorbing it with less harm to the body. Aimed at a touring client especially attentive to the quality/price ratio, this 100% full grain and soft full grain leather doesn’t abandon the revolutionary concept of the professional two-piece suit developed by the D-Tec® experts. Thanks to its use of a double elasticated band in the fastening area between the two pieces, this suit gains comfort and wearability, and also has a more streamlined, close-fitting shape.
